Pardon me while I burst

What's (been) goin on?

I love summer so much. I can't get enough of the burning climate outside. I come back from class everyday and it's blazingly sunny outside. Perfect weather to come home, have a popsicle and just relax. Except now I have a job (about damn time,) so I can't relax that much. I have to stick to a schedule so i can keep up with 14 credit hours of classes. My 5-week linear algebra class is kicking my ass. I haven't even bought a book for History yet. And then I have to try having a new gym schedule too this quarter. Alrite...enough of whining for tonite.

So i was saying, summer is the best time of the year in this country. I love not having to worry about putting on fifty layers of clothing before going outside. And it stays bright out for so long, you always feel like you still have time. Basketball courts and parks always full of living human beings outside. And all those pretty girls in their hot summer outfits...it's great! Summer on OSU campus is something new to me, however. It's just so empty compared to the rest of the year. And there's hardly anything going on.

The other day i was walking on campus and i felt that something was missing. After seeing so few people walking around, i had such a weird feeling. It felt like everyone else had graduated and I was one of the few people on campus that was left behind cause i couldn't finish my degree in time. It was a sad thought. I don't know why i thought that.

I'm also having a hard time fully realizing that i'm a third year student now. I'm still used to saying that i'm a second-year student. That got me thinking about my time here. What the hell have i been doing all this time? Where and how the hell did the last two years just go by so quickly. I feel like i have done NOTHING in the last two years. All of sudden I feel like my time is running out. I only have two more years to enjoy my freedom as a college student. After that who knows where I'll be...maybe sitting at a cubicle staring at a computer screen waiting for the day to end or maybe falling asleep in a lecture room at some grad school. But I really gotta get out there and do something. I've met many interesting people after coming to college but for some reason i feel hungry for more. IT'S ALL HAPPENING NOW AND I CAN'T MISS IT ANYMORE!!!

Some notes on the side:
1. Go see BATMAN BEGINS (guarantee you will like it)

2. To Mike: IT IS ON! Grrr

Newly declassified documents show that Neil was never a high ranking Nazi official as was previously assumed, but was in fact Hitler's Weibchen.

We went to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH for our end-of-the-year trip. It was a lot of fun and we got to ride almost all the main rides. Here are some pictures from the trip:

Today I am officially half way through my college degree. I know, I know...who knew I would've made it this far. But the truth is that I did and am very happy about it. The reason for my happiness is that I've made it so far without changing my major. I ended up doing fine in my second ECE class and I actually think I'll be able to handle it from now on.

What surprises me is how fast this year went by. It feels like it was just last week when I moved into Harrison apartments along with all my friends. We were so excited to have so much more room to live in and having our friends as our neighbors. We were so proud of the view from our apartment (which we had to fight for initially.) Some of the highlights of last year include listening to my mp3 player on my way to classes, watching movies late at night on weekends, studying all night in big groups before exams (never worked for me), getting beat up randomly, commiting to a regular gym schedule for the first few weeks of a quarter, celebrating Navratri, dance practices of ISA & IAA shows, making fun of other Indians in the community, getting beat up some more, preparing for MCing for the Diwali show, playing guitar for a band that doesn't know how to be a band, Asian philosophy class with radhika, having snowball fights, shocking mike in the ear, taking hip hop class with mike and vidhi and radhika and johny, going to India after three years, getting Hepititis A and losing 15 pounds, getting beat up again even after the drastic weightloss, not having a computer for a whole damn quarter (i studied everday though), deciding to grow my hair (u know it looks hot), History of Rock N' Roll class, watching the first season of 24 everyday after class, playing cranium and LOTR trivia, World Music class, social dance class with adip and andrea and nicole and kavita, getting beat up every now and then, 35-cent wings every tuesdays, photoshoping neil in front of garbage (coming soon to your favorite blog), and the list goes on...

Of course there were also the times when you didn't get along with someone and there were fights and arguments and misunderstandings and all that jazz. But that's what being in college is all about!

I must say, however, that there wasn't much partying during Spring quarter. That would explain my not-so-horrible grades too. Overall, I had a very constructive year. I learned so many new things and met some great new people and got so much more involved.

Now it's time to relax for about a week before summer classes begin. I'll be taking a math class, stats, history and a design class. Need to be frikkin done with math. And of course I'll be watching an average of two movies per day. Damn excited for Batman Begins (June 15) and War of the Worlds (June 29). It's gonna be a fun summer!

Some notes on the side:
1. Keep visiting to find out more about Neil's time-traveling adventures!

2. This video (made by Mike) pretty much sums up my sophomore year.

3. Look out for Cedar Point pictures coming up next!

4. Enjoy a couple of pictures:

The birth of the Legend's PASSION for aviation

Neil's journey leads him to May 6th, 1937. Impressed by his vast knowledge in aviation, the scientists of Lakehurst, New Jersey let Neil help in creating the Hindenburg. The scientists had many problems involving weight, so Neil V. Hathi suggested to use Hydrogen. The scientists doubted Neil's suggestion, until he bet them $1000 that he was right. As you can see, he is once again, the man of the hour.

The birth of a LEGEND

There once was a kid named Neil Hathi. He invented a time machine and decided to go back in history, he did not realize that he would change history forever. This is his story.

Neil's first voyage was to October 29, 1927, where his prescence was immediately felt.

It's my birthday too – yeah.

16 till i die

so i turned 19 today. A couple of years younger than some of my friends, but still past 18 finally. I decided to take one of those tests that tell you how old you "really" are. Here are the results:

You Are 20 Years Old

20

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

What Age Do You Act?

Hmm...funny how i feel like i'm still 16 years old.
